Hi, and welcome to my humble little site!
If you look at the ‘about’ section you’ll see a bit about me, and what I think this site will be about. It reflects my deepening experience of holiness in the midst of all life, the source of I which I name as G.O.D. I know that other people use other names, and talk about their experiences differently: this to me is part of the richness of our shared humanity.
My context is that of western Christianity, and within the spectrum of that I sit towards the ‘liberal’ or ‘progressive’ end, but dislike labels! I’d much rather relate to others in the experience of G.O.D. that we share, rather than arguing over dogmatics.
Below is a picture that I created from a number of sources that helps me focus my life and ministry.
The images contained with in it are:
- an encounter between Jesus and a Samaritan woman at the well of Jacob: an incredible story of mutuality and grace. (image by the wonderful He Qi)
the Easter candle from our church which we made with broken chunks of wax on Good Friday, joined together in new life for Easter Day: The light of Christ in our midst
Bottom left, a great image of risky conversations (often the most life-giving!)
Bottom right, a representation of the Indian story of the Blind Men and the Elephant, a great reminder that the truth of G.O.D. is way beyond us, and that I shouldn’t imagine my truth to be the whole truth
